Hackers

Three global hackers have been captured by the NSA and are being held in a detention facility. One hacker is French, one is German, and the other is Italian. Their captors come into the cell and grab the French hacker and take him to an interrogation room. They then proceed to tie his hands behind his back and interrogate and grill him. The Frenchman manages to last a whole day until he cracks and answers all the questions and gives up all of his secrets.

The captors throw the French hacker back into the cell and grab the German. As before, they take the German into a separate room, tie his hands behind his back, and start interrogating and questioning him. The German lasts two whole days before he cracks and tells them what they want to know.

They throw the German back into the cell and grab the Italian hacker. As with the previous two, they tie his hands and begin the grilling. Three days pass and they can't get anything. Finally, after six days of interrogation that have yielded nothing, they give up and throw him back into the cell.

The German and French hackers are impressed and ask him how he managed to not talk. The Italian responds, "I wanted to but I couldn't move my hands!"


Moral of the Story: You can always obtain critical information most efficiently when you know the information source's preferred modes of communication.
