Even if you don't have children, always put a random baby picture (your neice/nephew/best friend's child) in your wallet.

People are not entirely sure why, but countless social experiments have shown that wallets that included baby pictures are more likely to be returned to their owners if lost. It can be due to a variety of pyschological factors, and it may seem mildly manipulative to have a child's picture in your wallet who is not your own, but honestly, if it increases the odds of your wallet being returned to you and thereby sparing you hours of anguish on the phone or at the DMV, why not?
